DESCRIPTION: APW - E. Howard & Co, Boston, Series II, 15J, N-S (just over 19S), 14K gold (tested) original EH&Co HC with spring loaded front and rear, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS, gilt mvt, s#2911. Gross weight of assembled watch 79.5 dwt (123.7 g). A scarce early movement, the total production of the Series II was approximately 1200 made with serial numbers ranging from approximately 1800 to 3000. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered spots, some oxide to areas of steelwork; dial very nearly flawless with few minuscule hls along outer edge outside minute chapter; excellent hands; case push is currently opening both front and rear simultaneously when depressed, case shows ample wear, ding to right side of front, ding to lower left of rear, small dent to upper right of cuvette, engine turning detail is largely lost with only some portions remaining lightly evident; replacement bow is thinned at top and pivots freely with substantial play within much larger pendant-sockets; good glass crystal.
